GE HealthCare has entered a strategic partnership with DeepHealth, Inc., a leading provider of AI-powered health informatics and a subsidiary of RadNet, Inc., to develop cutting-edge SmartTechnology™ solutions that leverage AI to tackle key challenges in imaging. The collaboration focuses on improving the efficiency of imaging interpretation and reporting, enhancing team collaboration, and boosting clinical image interpretation and operational efficiency.
As the global cancer burden rises, early detection and diagnosis become more critical. The partnership will initially integrate DeepHealth’s AI-powered SmartMammo™ solution with GE HealthCare’s Senographe Pristina™ mammography system. This combination will introduce AI-driven clinical imaging support to breast cancer screening, aiming to enhance diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Key Features of the Collaboration:
- AI-Powered SmartMammo™ Workflow: This solution integrates with existing diagnostic workflows, improving accuracy and efficiency. It includes an enterprise image viewer with cloud-native capabilities, AI-driven lesion detection, and prioritization based on suspicion levels.
- AI-Powered Smart Alerts: Integrated with the Senographe Pristina system, this feature uses rapid AI processing to alert imaging sites about potentially suspicious lesions, enabling same-day diagnostics and reducing anxiety.
- Cloud-Native Architecture: DeepHealth’s SmartMammo utilizes the DeepHealth OS for seamless updates and support, ensuring continuous functionality improvements.
Both companies aim to scale AI-driven workflows to large diagnostic and screening programs, improving patient outcomes and streamlining radiology workflows. GE HealthCare will distribute SmartMammo and other DeepHealth solutions to imaging providers across the U.S.
Through this collaboration, GE HealthCare and DeepHealth plan to expand their SmartTechnology solutions across various clinical domains and imaging modalities, driving further innovation in AI-powered healthcare.
