Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security, has announced the appointment of Vasu Murthy as Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer. With over 25 years of experience in building enterprise software at scale, Murthy is set to enhance Cohesity’s industry-leading AI-powered data security portfolio.
Vasu Murthy’s Background
Murthy joins Cohesity from Rubrik, where he served as Vice President of Products. In this role, he was instrumental in growing Rubrik’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) tenfold over six years, leading the company through critical transformations, including transitioning from software to subscription and from on-premises to cloud solutions. Before Rubrik, he held the position of VP of Products for the Analytics Platform at Oracle, where he launched several products generating over $100 million each, contributing to market-leading innovation and cloud transformation. Murthy is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and resides in the Bay Area.
